Windows Neptune

Windows Neptune was the code name for a version of the Windows NT family. It was planned as an updated version of Windows 2000 for consumers, but was never released except to the beta testing community. It was followed up by Whistler, which evolved into Windows XP.

The only public beta for Neptune was 5.50.5111, which was released in December 1999.[1]
