Daniel Jones is a former senior staffer to Sen. Dianne Feinstein on the Senate Intelligence Committee. Jones heads the Penn Quarter Group (PQG). PQG is funded by 7-10 Democratic donors from New York and Silicon Valley who donated $50 million. PQG hired Christopher Steele and FusionGPS after Donald Trump's was elected to continue opposition research. Jones is linked to lobbyist Adam Waldman for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska who was offering Democrat Sen. Mark Warner access to former British spy and Clinton-Steele dossier author Christopher Steele.
