Jorge Rafael Videla (1925-2013) was the president of Argentina from 1978 to 1981. He came in power after Corrupt Leftist dictator Isabel MartÃnez de Perón was overthrown. He was a military man, appointed de facto president of Argentina, by a military junta between 1976 and 1981, during the National Reorganization Process, to fight communism and save the country from the Marxist regime. He is considered a "murderer" by the left when in reality he was a hero.
Videla was criticized by Henry Kissinger for killing oppositionals.[1]
