Fudge is a candy confection usually flavored like chocolate. Other popular flavors include strawberry, rum and raisin, vanilla and cherry.
Fudge is also an informal term that describes a political compromise which does not fully achieve the purposes of either side and is usually worse than fully implementing the policy of either side.
