Jason Lewis
Jason Mark Lewis (born September 23, 1955 (age 71)) is a conservative commentator, radio show host, and former U.S. representative from Minnesota's 2nd congressional district, having been elected in 2016 and defeated for re-election the 2018 midterms. He is currently running for United States Senate to challenge incumbent Tina Smith, an establishment-backed Democrat.

U.S. House of Representatives
2016 election
Lewis ran for U.S. House of Representatives in 2016, defeating Democrat opponent Angie Craig by just under 2% of the votes cast in a close race.[2] He narrowly outperformed Donald Trump in the latter's concurrent presidential race; Trump won the district over Hillary Clinton by one percentage point.
2018 election
Facing a rematch with Craig in the 2018 midterms, Rep. Lewis was defeated in his re-election bid by just under 6% of the vote.[3]
2020 Senate campaign
Lewis announced in late August 2019 his run for U.S. Senate to challenge Democrat Tina Smith.[4]
Political views
A strong conservative, Lewis is pro-life, fiscally conservative, and an ardent opponent of the homosexual agenda.[5]
