A Druid was a pre-Christian priest among the Celts of ancient Gaul, Britain and Ireland. There have been many relatively modern attempts at reinventing druidism, often referred to as Neo-druidism, beginning with a revival by romanticists in the 18th century. In the 20th and 21st centuries, it has been mainly associated with the New Age movement.
