Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey is a God-fearing Hollywood actor who also fears global warming, and has encouraged talk of his running for governor of Texas in 2022. He leads by 44-35% in a poll in September 2021 against the Republican incumbent Greg Abbott.[1] McConaughey has won an Oscar for his acting.
McConaughey would have strong competition from Beto O'Rourke, who reportedly will run. O'Rourke feels he is "born to run" for public office and has already run unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate and even the president of the United States.
Joe Biden as president is very unpopular in Texas, which will make it difficult for any Democrat to win there in 2022.
