Amish architecture is simple, unpretentious, concise, and very sturdy. Amish homes are known for having excellent construction.

Amish homes are off-the-grid and do not use utility electricity, so there is no meter on the outside or any need for electrical wiring and fuse boxes inside. But Amish homes can use solar and battery power, so wiring may be used for that.
