Christian theology is antithetical to gay bashing

While Christianity does teach that homosexuality is a sin, Christianity teaches that one should love others - even your enemies who persecute you (Matthew 5:44). Jesus also taught "But I say to you, Do not resist an evildoer. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also...". (Matthew 5:39 NRSV). And the Apostle Paul taught: "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all." (Romans 12:18).
