Essay: A word about political assassinations
Much is being said about how Slovakia has not been known for political assassinations. This experience, (and "tolerance for diversity") is part of its Westernization and embracing Western values process.
Many societies have known eras of political assassinations. The US in the 1960s and Civil war era. The four German signers of the Armistice to end WWI were all killed within two years, regarded as traitors. Hitler was one of the rabble rousers inciting such violence. 1923 his Putsch tried to overthrow the local Bavarian government. In 1925 he was convicted of insurrectionist activity and received a lengthy sentence to a summer spa prison camp (he was a veteran, local war hero and leader so he received some leniency from hard labor. At trial, there was not a dry eye in the room when he spoke). In prison he was granted more leniency in having his sentenced reduced by showing remorse, repentance, and publicly condemning political assassinations - which he did in Mein Kampf. And he squarely condemns political assassinations, after he himself rabble-roused and incited such actions.
Why? The liberal German government informed him, "Hey, if you wanna be Chancellor someday and have the Nazi party take over the government, you better condemn political assassinations or you yourself might be a victim someday."
So after he did the bidding of the establishment in condemning and helping quell political assassinations, he received an early release (probably for "good behavior").
That part of the Hitler narrative is often overlooked - that Mein Kampf was written primarily to apologize and condemn political assassinations (note: pay attention to the different uses of "political violence" vs "political assassinations" in MSM narratives). If the Weimar gubmint really didn't like Hitler, they would put him through all sorts of lawfare. Instead, they cut him a plea deal by making him a legitimate contender for office.
This is what wars do to people, they make psychopaths like Hitler (he's far from the only one, he just rose to the top) drunk on killing. Like the CIA goons who whacked Kennedy. It becomes an addiction which they can't stop. -I hope you're proud of your work, Blinken, Biden, and Sullivan.
