I don't understand the obsession with political, economic, or election forecasting with someone who doesn't know what is happening on the planet around them at a given moment.

Economists, meteorologists, business people doing business forecasts, stock/bond traders, currency traders, commodity traders are not engaging in divination. There is a difference between forecasting which uses statistical analysis, trends, and other empirical analysis concerning the past/present and people who engage in divination and the occult. Personally, I don't see what difference it is to you, since you don't know what's happening on the planet at any given moment. Your obsession with "Superforecasting" seems a little occultic. RobS
