DOGE stands for the Department of Government Efficiency. DOGE is a presidential advisory commission in the United States. DOGE wants to cut up to $2 trillion in annual spending.[1]

Elon Musk indicates he could save the United States 2 trillion dollars through a Department of Efficiency. Budget cut of nearly 5 trillion dollars is possible

Both Elon Musk and Donald Trump have suggested that Musk could hold a seat in Trump's cabinet if he's reelected - namely through a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Vivek Ramaswamy, "the co-leader of DOGE along with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, teased plans for “mass reductions” in the federal workforce and said the group will make recommendations on “a real-time basis.” (See: Vivek Ramaswamy teases ‘mass reductions’ under new DOGE – and expects certain agencies will be ‘deleted outright’, New York Post, 2024).
