Randall A. "Randy" Fine (born April 20, 1974) is an American businessman and Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 6th congressional district. He won a special election in April 2025 after previously serving in the Florida House of Representatives (2016–2024) and a brief term in the Florida Senate (2024–2025). Fine is known for his strong alignment with conservative values and policies.

Early life and business career

Fine was born in Tucson, Arizona. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 1996 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1998.[1]

Before entering politics, Fine worked as a corporate executive in the casino and gaming industry. He founded The Fine Point Group, a management consultancy specializing in gaming operations.[1]

Political career

Florida Legislature

Fine was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2016, representing District 53 and later District 33 after redistricting. He gained a reputation as a leading conservative voice, supporting pro-life legislation, school choice expansion, tax cuts, and parental rights in education. Fine also advocated for strong environmental accountability, including efforts to reduce sewage discharges in coastal communities.

In 2024, he was elected to the Florida Senate, representing District 19, which includes parts of Brevard County.[2] He resigned from the Senate in March 2025 to run for the U.S. House of Representatives.[3]

U.S. House of Representatives

Fine won the April 1, 2025, special election to fill Florida’s 6th Congressional District seat, vacated by Michael Waltz.[4] He was endorsed by former President Donald Trump.[5]

Fine’s platform includes securing the southern border, reducing government regulation, defending the Second Amendment, opposing abortion, advancing an “America First” foreign policy, and strengthening U.S.-Israel relations.[5][Citation Needed]

Political style and public image

Fine has been described as a “firebrand” conservative with a confrontational political style.[6] He is known for aggressively promoting conservative causes, particularly on social and cultural issues. Supporters describe him as principled and unapologetic, while critics have labeled some of his rhetoric as divisive.

Personal life

Fine is Jewish and a strong advocate for pro-Israel policy.[1] He is married with two children and lives in Brevard County, Florida.[7] He moved to the area in 2006 and often references his academic background and business success in public appearances.[1]

On September 10, 2025, shortly after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, the first commenter on his X feed was "you're next!"[8]
