GOP State Platforms are the work of state delegates who typically meet every two years within their own states.
Idaho GOP Platform
The Idaho Republican Party Platform was adopted on June 20, 2026, at the state convention held in Meridian, Idaho. It's well-organized across 36 pages with plenty of space among its 19 Articles.[1]
Strengths
- supporting vaccine choice, including a conscientious objection to vaccination
- opposing ranked-choice voting
- does not endorse a Con Con despite pressure to do so
- opposes term limits
- opposes "allow[ing] those who have no loyalty or allegiance to the Idaho Republican Party or its platform and Resolutions to select our candidates"; instead supports allowing "all people who have affiliated as Republicans at least one year prior to the primary election and who support a vast majority of the Idaho Republican Platform" to vote in GOP primaries.
Weaknesses
- silent about the gambling pandemic
- fails to criminalize possession and use of the abortion pill, but does have strong pro-life statements
- fails to oppose data centers
