The Mexican War was a war between America and Mexico in the 1840s. It was started by Mexico's aggression at the battle of the Alamo, in which Davy Crockett and many other men were brutally killed after they had surrendered. The cruel Mexican commander was the famously corrupt Santa Anna.

Zachary Taylor and Winifred Scott were the generals in the Mexican War. It was ended by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1847.
