Tae Kwon Do ( íê¶ë; "Way of the Hands and Feet) is a Korean martial art. It is an Olympic sport, though a relative newcomer in comparison to judo.
Tae Kwon Do has a repertoire of kicking attacks, more so than Karate. It is also used by the Korean military.
Techniques
Tae Kwon Do is based around strikes, mainly from the feet. However, punches are allowed. Throws are taught in Tae Kwon Do, but they are barred from competition.
