Robot

A robot is a mechanical item with many functions, such as building automobiles or cleaning rooms (as is the case with the Roomba). In science fiction, robots, also known as droids, often are servants to the sentients of that galaxy. The word 'robot' was coined by the writer Isaac Asimov.
