Benzodiazepine

Benzodiazepines are a class of psychoactive chemicals which affect the GABA receptors in the brain. They are used in the treatment of anxiety and sleep disorders, as well as certain types of seizure disorders. Benzodiazepines are both physically addicting and habit forming.[1]
