Ann Coulter (b. 1961) is a bestselling American author of books that present conservative views in a direct, forceful and frequently ironic manner.

Some of her books include Godless: The Church of Liberalism, Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right, and Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism. Ann Coulter has earned a strong following among conservatives for what many believe is her patriotic stances against liberals, her outspokenness against all those who wish to hurt the United States, and her strong defense of family values against abortion and same-sex marriage.

In Godless Coulter argues that liberals make a religion out of their beliefs which they follow with the same sort of intolerant zeal which condemn in fundamentalists. "Liberalism is a comprehensize belief system denying the Christian belief in man's immortal soul [and] that we are moral beings in God's image." (page 3)

Coulter is a Christian who attributes to the Judeo-Christian tradition the view that human beings are utterly and distinctly apart from other species. This view stands in opposition to that of mainstream biology which classifies humans as animals (specifically, primates).

Quotes

"We should invade [Muslim] countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war. "[1]

"Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant. " [2]
