The Wenatchee Mountains Checker-mallow (Sidalcea oregana var. calva) is a very rare flowering plant that only occurs in five locations in the Wenatchee Mountains of Chelan County, Washington, USA. The Camas Meadows Natural Area Preserve contains the largest known populations of two rare plant species, the Wenatchee Mountains checker-mallow and the Wenatchee larkspur (Delphinium viridescens).[1] In addition to these two endangered plants, there are 135 species of wildflowers that bloom in the meadow. Camas Meadows was preserved by the state of Washington for the checker-mallow and delphinium plants.[2]
