Al Gore
Is it relevant to the article? I know he's one of the biggest promoters of "man-made global warming" (or whatever you want to call it), but has he actively been promoting earth hour? If he has, then it's definitely hypocrisy (liberal hypocrisy?) and should be properly cited. Otherwise I'm unsure if his choice to leave the light on has anything to do with the article. - Well, I'd say it's relevant as Gore is a huge promoter of many other "green" initiatives but for some reason he can "pick and choose" when he wants to support the environment and when he doesn't. To me that sounds pretty self-centered. MaxFletcher 17:23, 16 March 2011 (EDT)
- Earth Hour is a symbolic act. Maybe he think that he's done enough ;)
- No, but seriously, that's like asking a Sunni Muslim why he's not agreeing with the Shia Imams (I admit that's dragging it a bit to the extreme, but I hope you get my point). Do you have any more recent sources that say that he didn't participate btw? (any news about last year for example?) SaWi 17:37, 16 March 2011 (EDT)
