The University of Connecticut (or UConn) is a Connecticut public university founded in 1881.[3] The school is located in Storrs, Connecticut. It ranked #64 in US News's 2008 "National Universities: Top Schools" list.[4]
Athletics
Connecticut currently has 10 men's and 12 women's sports teams.[1] The football program has won three bowl games (while losing two and tying none).[5] The men's basketball program has won three national championships,[6] and the women's team has won six.[7]
