Dr. Alice Palmer obtained her PhD in Educational Administration from Northwestern University, her M.A. in Urban Studies from Roosevelt University, and her B.S. in English from Indiana University. Palmer was the Founding Executive Director of Chicago Cities in School and Creator and Founding Director of the Chicago Metropolitan YMCA Youth and Government Program. From 1991 to 1996 Palmer was an Illinois state senator. In 2005, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich appointed Palmer as an Annuitant Trustee to the University of Illinois.[1]
