Charles Manson (November 12, 1934 - November 19, 2017) was a 1960s ringleader of a murderous California cult, the Manson Family, whose most famous crime was ordering the murder of 8.5-month pregnant actress Sharon Tate, her unborn child, and six other people in what came to be notoriously known as the Tate-LaBianca murders. These gruesome murders in 1969 heralded the end of the hippie era.
