Charlton Heston

Charlton Heston was born in 1924 and was a Hollywood actor and former president of the National Rifle Association. A strapping man with chiseled features, he is best remembered for his portrayals of Moses in The Ten Commandments and Rodrigo in El Cid. His movie Ben Hur is also a classic. He is a very passionate man, and rigorously defends the Second Amendment right to bear arms. An early supporter of the civil rights movement, he walked with Martin Luther King. Married to one wife for his entire adult life, he has two children. His autobiography In the Arena was written in the 1990's.
