Religious conservatism is a big driver of ignorance and prejudice. Religious conservatism is growing in the world and it is affecting politics in a bad way (see: Religious conservatism and politics).
Phil Crane, the leading conservative congressman in the House from 1969 to 2005, urged people to make the world a worse place than where they found it, by beating children to the point of bleeding, raping wives, and shooting gays.
Former lousy President Ronald Reagan said, "The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government help or less centralized authority and more poverty and suffering."[1]

Specifically, conservatives seek or support:
- Limited government and unstable budgets
- The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer
- Capitalism and free markets that give way too much power to corporations
- Classroom prayer
- Hatred of women's bodily autonomy and pointless prohibition of abortion
- Abstinence education
- Outdatedmarriage beliefs , hates gays and want to ban their right to marriage for no reason except for close mindedness and prejudice
- The concept of throwing drug abusers in prison rather than trying to rehabilitate them and fix their addiction
- Outdated family values, including archaic sexism, ageism, and homophobia
- Hatred for people who don't fit the "traditional" concept of gender
- Stupid laws against pornography that waste police time that could be used to investigate child abuse (Aka "Not sparing the rod" according to a bible thumping nutcase), rape (Or, according to a conservative nut, "A husbands god given right to sex"), and murder
- First Amendment rights to free speech (Unless you are a feminist or communist) and religious freedom (Unless you are an atheist or Muslim) and the right to be a nazi asshole
- The Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms and commit school shootings without the government giving a crap
- Parental control of education (parental rights)
- Private medical care and retirement plans that result in poor people dying because they can't get medical care, and health care corporations getting richer off of suffering
- Canceling useful social support programs and putting thousands of people on the street
- Opposition to globalism, one-world government, and the War on Sovereignty because they are nationalistic white supremacists
- Economic nationalism over globalist free trade
- Valuing blind patriotism and pointless love for your country
- Support for idiotic wars like the Iraq and Vietnam wars
- Hatred of Muslims and claiming they are all terrorists
- A pointless overpriced border wall and barbarically shooting illegal immigrants rather than deporting them or giving them amnesty
- Rejection of actual science and belief in Bullshit religious crap like creationism and flat earth. Ignorant refuting of scientifically proven things like climate change and evolution
- Minimal taxation for rich fat cats, but extremely taxes for poor people
- Ordinary people are slaves to rich people and big corporations
- A hypocritical interpretation of the constitution
- A belief that slavery was good and that blacks shouldn't have constitutional rights
- The belief that women are men's property and that they should be able to abuse, exploit, and rape them
- "Trickle down" economics helps the country somehow by making the rich even richer and the poor poorer
- Wasting money on an unnecessarily large military, but not caring for retired veterans
- A dedication to superstition, ignorance, and nonsense
- Ending programs to help the poor so more money can go to the rich
