Coretta Scott King (1927 - ) is the widow of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King. While not as vocal, she has continued with his legacy of seeking equal rights for minorities and guarding the memory of her husband.

Some prominent African American (black) leaders are estranged from Ms. King.
