Cro-Magnon was a species of early human that lived between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago[1], and is, genetically, one of the most similar species to mankind, so it is probably very close to man evolutionarily.
Cro-Magnons are credited with the world's first lunar calendar, in addition to other cave paintings.
