Dean Arthur Heller was the junior United States Senator from Nevada and a member of the Republican Party from 2013 to 2019. He was appointed to the seat by the governor after the resignation of John Ensign. He previously served as the congressman for Nevada's 2nd district.[1]

Appointment
Heller was appointed by then-governor Brian Sandoval to the Senate seat vacated upon the announced resignation of John Ensign.[2] He later narrowly won the 2012 Senate election in Nevada to a full Senate term.[3]
