The Denver Broncos are a National Football League franchise based in Denver, Colorado, formed in 1960. They are part of the American Football Conference (AFC) and play in the AFC West Division. The team had an unsuccessful bid for the Super Bowl several times (1977, 86, 87, and 88) before finally winning the "Big Game" under John Elway, winning two years in a row in 1997 and 1998, in no small thanks to the running game and Terrell Davis.

The teams colors are predominantly Orange and Blue.

They have had long running rivalries with the Oakland/LA Raiders, the Cleveland Browns, and the KC Chiefs.

Longtime coach Mike Shanahan was fired after thirteen seasons with the team. His replacement is as of yet unknown.
