Dinesh D'Souza

Dinesh D'Souza (b. 1961) is a conservative scholar, author, blogger and commentator. He is currently President of The King's College in New York.[1]

In college, he was a prominent writer with The Dartmouth Review, a conservative publication. He is a former editor of Policy Review, a conservative journal. He was a fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University.

A Christian immigrant from India who wrote a book entitled What's So Great About Christianity, D'Souza wrote a piece entitled "Thank God for America" on his blog on November 21, 2007.[2] Today he is mostly involved with exposing the contradictions and hypocrisy of atheists, and the censorship of Christian leadership in the modern world.

He regularly participates in debates with New Atheists. These have included Christopher Hitchens (6 times), Daniel Dennett (once), Peter Singer (twice), Dan Barker (twice), and Michael Shermer (twice).

In September 2010, D'Souza published Roots of Obama's Rage, which explores possible influences that Barack Obama, Sr may have had on his son, the President. D'Souza asserts:

The most powerful country in the world is being governed according to the dreams of a Luo tribesman of the 1950s—a polygamist who abandoned his wives, drank himself into stupors, and bounced around on two iron legs (after his real legs had to be amputated because of a car crash caused by his drunk driving). This philandering, inebriated African socialist, who raged against the world for denying him the realization of his anti-colonial ambitions, is now setting the nation’s agenda through the reincarnation of his dreams in his son.[3]

The book did not receive wide attention until it was made into a motion picture entitled, "2016: Obama's America" which was released during the 2012 Presidential campaign. The movie has become a box office success, on track to garner the second-highest box office receipts for a documentary in history.[4][5]
