Grant Wood

Grant Wood (born on February 13, 1891 - d. February 12, 1942) American painter. He is best known for his paintings depicting the American Midwest.
He was hailed as an Iowa Moses who had come to lead American art into the Promised Land. [1]
He was a leader in the Regionalism and Social Realism schools of art.
