Louis Farrakhan

Louis Abdul Farrakhan (born Louis Eugene Walcott in Massachusetts, 1933) is the leader of the Nation of Islam. He has attracted a lot of attention for his outspoken black nationalism, his negative remarks about Caucasians, and his anti-Semitic remarks. He organized the Million Man March in 1995. Obama is mentioned as helping to organize the 1995 million man march led by Louis Farrakhan.

In 1996, speaking at the Nation of Islam's Saviour's Day gathering in Chicago,

“God will destroy America by the hands of the Muslims. . . . God will not give Japan or Europe the honor of bringing down the United States; this is an honor God will bestow upon Muslims.”

Seven months before the U.S. liberated Iraq, Farrakhan talks with the Islamic Affairs Minister Abdul Munem Saleh from the Iraq News Agency. “The Muslim American people are praying to the almighty God to grant victory to Iraq [over U.S. forces].”

His support of Barack Obama for President was rejected by Obama only after being directly confronted by Hillary Clinton in a debate.
