Mark Antony

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Teresita (Talk | contribs) at 03:31, April 10, 2007. It may differ significantly from current revision.

Marcus Antonius (Mark Antony in English) lived from 83-30 BC. He was a close friend of Julius Caesar and became part of a triumvirate, together with Octavian and Lepidus, after Caesar's death. He allied with Cleopatra and was defeated by Octavian's fleet at the Battle of Actium, which ended the civil war and ushered in the monarchy.
