Barack Hussein Obama II, former community activist and senator from Illinois and current President of the United States, was allegedly[1][2][3][4][5] born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961. A growing movement contends that since Obama had refused to release his long-form birth certificate from the state of Hawaii and since documentary evidence indicates that he may have been born in Kenya, Obama is ineligible to serve as president according to the U.S. Constitution. Obama's supporters and a large swath of the Democratic Party state that Obama was born in Hawaii, and is therefore a "natural-born citizen"; they have dismissed outright the claims of the "birthers" - as they derisively call them - as a non-issue or another conspiracy theory.

Supposed Birth Certificate Release

With the news of Jerome Corsi's Worldnet Daily published book Where's the Birth Certificate? scheduled to be released on May 18, 2011 and with Donald Trump calling for Obama to release his long form birth certificate, it was finally released on April 27, 2011. Within days on its release it was being called a forgery.

Despite efforts by people to down play the reports of Adobe Illustrator layering and to explain them away, the anomalies on the birth certificate increased daily. The flawed forgery techniques were examined and re-examined by novices and experts alike. It would be hard for someone to explain the many multiple errors in the purported "authentic" birth certificate.

Jerome Corsi said that he was alerted by a mole in the department of records in Hawaii, three weeks before the birth certificate was to be released, that a forged certificate suddenly appeared in the record book. Corsi and Farah of Worldnet Daily held back releasing the information because they wanted Obama to release a forgery and then prove that it was a fake which would be a crime.

Despite the overwhelming bizarre and inaccurate information contained on the supposed birth certificate the mainstream media and even Conservative news outlets refuse to question the documents authenticity.

Corsi stated during a radio interview on May 24, 2011 that a scanning expert is going to file a criminal complaint with the FBI that the birth certificate released by the president is a bad forgery.

United States Constitutional requirements

The Constitution states explicitly who is to be eligible for the office of president. The physical requirements are found in Article II, Section 1:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

What is "Natural Born"

The Founding Fathers in 1790 interpreted "natural born" as:

The children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States[6]
