Ptolemy I Soter, (323 BC—283 BC).
Ptolemy I Soter was Alexander the Great's general. He established the Ptolemy dynasty in Egypt and adopted the local customs and religion.
He brought Alexander's body with him to be buried in Alexandria, reuniting the famed conqueror with the city that bore his name.
