The San Jose Sharks are a hockey team based in San Jose, California. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Sharks joined the NHL in the 1991 expansion. The Sharks play at the HP Pavilion at San Jose Center, a part of a corporate sponsorship program, but it is still often known as "The Shark Tank".
