- I can understand the contradiction in the case of the "Champagne Socialists" (I have also heard them referred to as "Smoked Salmon Socialists", which I think is a wittier name), because socialists claim to be in favour of spreading wealth equally among all people rather than having an elite wealthy class. But in the case of limousine liberals, I just don't see where the hypocrisy lies. Can't someone support giving money to the poor and be wealthy? Eoinc 13:27, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

Doesn't this apply to Mitt?
Romney claims to care about the plight of the impoverished yet he is extremely wealthy and has most certainly taken many a limousine ride. He also has made money at Bain by putting many American employees out of work. It's pretty obvious to any reasonable person that he doesn't really care about the poor-there was in fact video evidence (47% video) that caught him bluntly admitting this. Just saying, you can't attribute this kind of phoniness only to liberals when it exists on both sides of the spectrum--in republican nominee for President, in this example.--WalterW 12:55, 5 November 2012 (EST)
