I realised a while ago that Andy, Rob and Ben don't actually want more editors here, despite occasional protestations to the contrary. At first, I think it was a kind of stubborn if-we-build-it-they-will-come that prevented any serious effort at promotion & recruitment, but as the years rolled by, they just grew to really, really love defining their own reality with as little pushback or compromise as possible. I know nothing of Ben but I'm liking you already; Andy seems OK but I'm genuinely worried for RobS: invited to diagnose him, my cod-psychological pronouncement would be non-reactive psychosis, Hitlerian subtype. Is it me or is he obsessed by Nazism? My take is Erdogan would love to never hear about the plight of the Kurds again and also to be given free rein re. the PKK and YPG.
