Camellia sinensis is the plant that is used to make tea. Green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea and post-fermented tea all come from this one plant; however, they are all prepared and brewed in different ways. All of these cultivars contain caffeine. Herbal tea is not produced from the plant, but is made of different herbs and spices. Herbal tea usually doesn’t contain caffeine.
