Channel Islands National Park is a U.S. National Park located in the state of California and consists of five islands off the coast of southern California, near Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. The islands are biologically diverse, and home to more than a hundred species found nowhere else in the world. Though most of the park is owned by the National Park Service, part of one of the islands is privately held by the Nature Conservancy.
