United States Department of Energy
The United States Department of Energy is a cabinet-level department of the Executive branch of the U.S. Federal Government. The Department of Energy oversees the nation's nuclear stockpiles.

Wen Ho Lee was a Taiwanese-American scientist who worked for the University of California at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. Lee was publicly named by United States Department of Energy officials, including Secretary Bill Richardson, as a suspect in the theft of classified nuclear-related documents from Los Alamos.[1] Richardson was criticized by the Senate for his handling of the espionage inquiry by not testifying in front of Congress sooner. Richardson was less than truthful in his response by saying that he was waiting to uncover more information before speaking to Congress.[2]
On December 10, 1999, Lee was arrested, indicted on 59 counts, and jailed in solitary confinement without bail for 278 days until September 13, 2000, when he accepted a plea bargain from the federal government. Lee was released on time served after the government's case against him could not be proven.[1] He was ultimately charged with only one count of mishandling sensitive documents that did not require pre-trial solitary confinement, while the other 58 counts were dropped. Just before releasing Lee, Judge Parker told him: "It is only the top decision makers in the Executive Branch ... who have caused embarrassment by the way this case began and was handled. They did not embarrass me alone. They have embarrassed our entire nation and each of us who is a citizen of it. I might say that I am also sad and troubled because I do not know the real reasons why the Executive Branch has done all of this.'[3]
While Judge Parker was uncertain as to the "real reasons" behind the Executive Branch's actions, Wen Ho Lee's supporters have asserted that the Clinton administration targeted Lee because of his race.[4] They contend that the government engaged in illegal racial profiling when it investigated, prosecuted, and terminated the employment of Wen Ho Lee.[5]
Biden regime
Left: Energy Commissar Jennifer Granholm, a major stockholder in a supplier to a company she awarded millions of dollars for development of an electric car.[6] Right: Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition Sam Brinton.[7] |
As Biden junta commissar of energy, Jennifer Granholm stood to make millions by awarding government contracts to experimental electric car companies that purchase batteries from a company Granholm is a major stockholder.[8]
When gas lines began to appear in Biden's first 100 days as a result of the regime's anti-capitalist policies, Granholm said, "It’s not that we have a gasoline shortage. It’s that we have this supply crunch.”[9]
Politico reported in an article entitled, The Obama scandal Biden wants to bring back, that the junta wanted to revive DOE's Loan Program Office, best known for the Solyndra scandal. The office hasn’t made a single loan since Solyndra went broke ten years earlier.[10] (Civil servants, of course, continued to draw salaries). Solyndra received $535,000,000 as part of the Obama stimulus for alleged green jobs 2009. Solyndra executives visited the White House at least 20 times and Obama visited the plant.[11] The California Democrat Party became a financial creditor for Solyndra. The FBI raided plant and homes of executives.[12] The company filed for was bankruptcy in 2011.
Granholm's deception was on full display in a Bloomberg TV interview. After Biden had destroyed the United States as the world's leading oil producer, Granholm laughed when asked about the hardships created by the Biden regime on ordinary Americans with higher gasoline and home heating oil prices.
Host Tom Keene asked, “What is the Granholm plan to increase oil production in America?” Granholm burst out laughing and said, “That is hilarious. Would that I had the magic wand on this. As you know, of course, oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC. And they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning."[13] The question of course, was about increasing production in America, not in OPEC countries.
Granholm was trotted out to the White House microphones to tell the White House Press Corps how brilliant, beneficial and strategically necessary it was to release 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Granholm read the script, gave her talking points and then took questions. One journalist asked: “that said, how many barrels of oil do U.S. consumers use every day?”… Granholm paused, looked down and said: “I don’t have that number in front of me, I’m sorry“.[14]
In February 2022 Sam Brinton, a self-described "queer activist" and "pup handler", was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition. Political and cultural commentator Ian Miles Cheong remarked,
"This person (identifies as genderqueer with they/them pronouns, his kinks are animal sexuality and 'gay uncle' BDSM) is now in charge of overseeing America's nuclear power plants. This is how empires end. Not with a bang, but with whatever the hell this is."[15] |
