Eric Stephen Schmitt it the Junior Senator for Missouri. He formerly served is the 43rd Attorney General of the State of Missouri. Previously he has served as state senator from the St. Louis metropolitan area and as Missouri State Treasurer, before succeeding current Senior Missouri Senator Josh Hawley as attorney general in 2019. Schmitt is a conservative Republican who supported the efforts of President Donald Trump to expose and defeat the voter fraud that occurred in the 2020 presidential election.
