Joe Burrow is a quarterback in the NFL who led his Cincinnati Bengals to a surprise appearance in the Super Bowl in early 2022, in only his second year after being injured in his first season. Just prior to the 2023 season, Burrow signed the then-highest paid salary in NFL history, agreeing to a $55 million-per-season, 5-year deal.[1] In late 2023 he had a ligament tear in his wrist that forced him out of the remainder of that season, which is why the Bengals were not a factor in the 2023-2024 playoffs.

Joe Burrow was photographed smiling with Donald Trump at a wrestling event in March 2024, to the consternation of some.[2]
