Current managing director is Steve Jalsevac and the site was formed in 1997. Originally part of the Campaign Life Coalition located in Toronto, Canada. They have separate non-profit operations located in both the U.S. and Canada. LifeSiteNews management and staff writers/researchers are located in various cities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy and Chile. Their business model relies on donations and advertising.

Legal Battle

In 2011, LifeSiteNews was the target of a Canadian lawsuit that had threatened to shut them down. "Father of abortion", Fr. Raymond Gravel, a Quebec "Catholic" priest was suing for libel. In a 2004 radio interview he said, "I am pro-choice and there is not a bishop on earth that will prevent me from receiving Communion, not even the Pope." He had defended both homosexuality, abortion and was suing LifeSiteNews for $500,000.[1] The suit was ultimately dropped when Gravel died of cancer on August 11, 2014.[2]

Facebook

In May 2021, Facebook unjustly terminated LifeSiteNews' Facebook page for posting information on that page about the well-documented dangers, backed with abundant evidence, of the CCP flu "vaccines"[3] (which are not actual vaccines, but an untested and unproven form of mRNA gene therapy, the four variations of which - from Pfizer-Biontech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson - have led to hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries and permanent disabilities for those who took the shots[4]); Facebook, in justifying its actions, released a statement falsely claiming, without evidence, that LifeSiteNews had posted "...false information about COVID-19 that could contribute to physical harm".[5] LifeSiteNews marketing director Rebekah Roberts noted of the site's deplatforming from Facebook:

Facebook has been silencing any voice that goes against their beliefs and agenda. Our LifeSiteNews Facebook page has been removed simply because we have shared reports of doctors, nurses, expert researchers, and even the former Pfizer VP speaking out against the COVID shots. We’ve also been tagged for the numerous articles we have shared making the connection between the COVID shots, and really all vaccines, and aborted baby cell lines. This all comes down to another case of Big Tech silencing free speech on their platform.

Tucker Carlson subsequently called out Facebook on his Fox News Channel show for its shutdown of the LifeSiteNews Facebook page, slamming the Big Tech company for its censorship, silencing and shaming of any company or individual that asks legitimate questions about the dubious safety record of the "vaccines".[6] In his criticism of Facebook, Carlson stated, in part:

Our health authorities have reserved their energy for anyone who dares to question vaccines... LifeSiteNews – that’s a non-profit news organization – just found itself permenantly banned from Facebook. Why? Because it reported government numbers from the (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) database – something that we just did on the air.
