The RINO of the Year 2022 is Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), for supporting establishment Republicans over more conservative Republicans, for wasting millions of dollars to reelect RINO Sen. Lisa Murkowski over her conservative challenger, and thereby allow other Republicans to lose in tight races for lack of funding elsewhere. Then McConnell attacked Trump who is more popular than McConnell in his own home state.

Runners-up

  • Scott Morrison, the Australian Prime Minister who was such a moronic vaccine tyrant that he held Greatest Conservative Sports Star Novak Djokovic in detention to exclude him from the Australian Open, and a few months later Morrison lost his reelection by a landslide.
  • Mitt Romney- for criticizing President Trump and other conservative Republicans.
  • Liz Cheney- For participating in the January 6 committee.
  • Adam Kinzinger- For participating in the January 6 committee.
  • Kevin McCarthy- For supporting establishment Republicans in the midterms and then lying about where he stands in hopes of being elected Speaker of the House.
  • The 54 Republican Congressmen who wore "Only Kevin" pins in anticipation of the 2023 Speaker election.
  • Marjorie Taylor Greene- For inappropriately comparing conservative critics of Kevin McCarthy to NeverTrumpers.
  • Ron DeSantis- For his dishonest conduct in preparation for 2024. For using media sycophants to exaggerate his record as governor. For repeatedly stabbing Trump in the back behind the scenes, especially after August. For making alliances with megadonors who are known NeverTrumpers.[1] For hogging RGA donation money in order to fund his 2024 campaign.[2] For inappropriate publicity stunts during his re-election campaign which were clearly designed to condition people for 2024.[3][4] And, if Mike Lindell's allegations are correct, rigging the results in Dade County in order to artificially boost his numbers, presumably to boost his "street cred" for 2024.[5]
  • Pete Ricketts- For greenlighting the diversion of RGA funds to support Ron DeSantis' 2024 campaign.
  • Doug Ducey- See above. Also, he blatantly lied to Kari Lake when he said he would use RGA money to support her campaign, which he didn't.[6][7][8]
  • Glenn Youngkin- For being the Republican establishment's back-up plan in case Ron DeSantis doesn't go anywhere for 2024. Also, if Matt Strickland's allegations are correct, for collaborating with corrupt law enforcement officials to persecute conservative critics of his policies.[9][10]
  • John Bolton- For unofficially announcing that he's running against Trump in 2024.[11]
  • Asa Hutchinson- See above.[12]
  • Any GOP Senator or Congressman who voted to arm or give money to Ukraine.
  • Any GOP Senator or Congressman who votes on the omnibus bill (here they are!).
  • Josh Mandel- For his dishonest conduct during the Ohio Senate primary, falsely labeling JD Vance as a NeverTrumper while simultaneously trying to sell intervention in Ukraine as a MAGA position.[13]
  • Dr. Oz- Do I even need to explain this one?
  • Mike Pompeo- For resorting to blatantly xenophibic rhetoric to discredit Dr. Oz while simultaneously backing another RINO candidate in the same race.[14]
  • Kathy Barnette- For her dishonest conduct during the Pennsylvania Senate primary, basically lying about everything to cover up her leftist past.
  • Mo Brooks- For throwing a temper tantrum after Trump withdrew his endorsement in the Alabama Senate race, and going full Joe Walsh on him.
  • Ronna Romney McDaniel- For supporting establishment Republicans in the midterms.
  • Michael Waltz- For his exceptionally hawkish rhetoric on China and Russia in the aftermath of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  • Michael McCaul- For basically calling Tucker Carlson a Russian agent.[15]
  • Lindsey Graham- For advocating Vladimir Putin's assassination and acting like that's not an escalation of the crisis in Ukraine at all.[16]
  • Sean Hannity- See above.[17]
  • Geoff Duncan- For openly discouraging GOP voters from voting for Herschel Walker in the Georgia Senate runoff, possibly costing him enough votes to throw the election to radical leftist Raphael Warnock.
  • Joe Walsh, for opposing Republicans and supporting Democrats.
