A doner kebab is an item of Graeco-Turkish cuisine that has become popular in the [[United Kingdom]]. It consists of a pitta bread containing slices of cabbage and tomatoes, and the reconstituted meat of a lamb (or other local animals) very slowly roasted on a lukewarm vertical revolving spit over many days.
