:Thanks Rob for the comment. I think that Congress has power to subpoena any document from the EXecutive branch by any way Congress chooses to use, tho the president can object with executive privilege.  ([[User:Thunkful2|Thunkful2]] ([[User talk:Thunkful2|talk]]) 19:20, 4 August 2017 (EDT))

::Yes, but Congress must be specific in it's requests. Sen. Grassley's recent series of requests to DoJ are  [https://www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases/grassley-examines-potential-conflicts-top-fbi-official’s-role-russia-collusion a  good object lesson]. He must first cite public knowledge of certain known facts, than specifically demand production of documents for "any and all matters related to" whatever cause of the Congressional investigation. On the receiving end, DoJ is always looking for loopholes in Grassley's requests to avoid full disclosure. If Grassley makes no specific request of documents pertaining to Seth Rich, portions in other documents relating to the existence of a Seth Rich file are redacted out. Heretofore we had no knowledge of a federal Seth Rich investigation - such allegations were relegated, according to reputable sources, as Alex Jones conspiracy stuff. Now Grassley has the legal tools to demand production of documents, but first other known reputable publications must pick up on Hersh's statements and give them credibility. == Claims of Matt Couch @RealMattCouch Twitter, Youtube ==

An evidently self-appointed amateur private investigator, Matt Couch, has made claims on Twitter, Periscope, & YouTube.  Unfortunately, I know of no way to verify his claims & do not deem him a reliable source.  He calls his group America First Media and has a team working with him, including one Bill Pierce, who seems to be a sober, capable investigator.  Matt went to DC and poked around, claiming to know the name of the doctor at MedStar who treated Seth Rich on July 10, 2016.  His video presentations are very long in irrelevant content vs relevant claims.  Most recently (August 8. 2017) along with a YouTube video he made this claim:

:"Breaking! Seth Rich was lured to a party at 3 AM where we was the supposed "Guest of honor" at a house owned by Imran Awan & DNC before being murdered. Last call w ex-gf Kelsey Murka was only 45 seconds contradicting what she has told investigators."

::Thus Matt contradicts the Washington Post call log, which apparently WaPo never actually saw, since that log says "about 4:19" for phone hangup time, but a log would be exact.  It seems most likely that WaPo got its log from the Rich family. Matt seems to think that Seth was lured to a 3AM party by DNC people who set him up for murder.  If Matt is correct, the coverage of the 2+ hours between 2:05 AM and 4:19 AM by a long phone yak between Seth & Kelseyl, is incorrect.  Rod Wheeler said that he knew of a party that Seth went to, I think on July 9, before he went to Lou's bar.  But Rod was clear that he had not said that the party was an IT affair.  It is hard to know how to evaluate Matt and his claims.  Matt may be listening to gossip.  It is good to keep an open mind, but I give no credence to Matt.  ([[User:Thunkful2|Thunkful2]] ([[User talk:Thunkful2|talk]]) 09:47, 9 August 2017 (EDT))
