| | :All along, on virtually everything, Kyiv and the West have used projection - ascribing to Russia their own actions and results. There is solid evidence of 260,000 Ukrainians dead and wounded, maybe even twice as much; some now are saying Ukraine has in excess of 200,000 dead. Whatever the kill rate, multiply by 3 or 4 the casualties, most of which are permanent and will never return to combat. | | + | Russia claimed that before too, but then they did a Major Mobilization. They wouldn't have to do that if they hadn't lost many Soldiers. There's hardly any appetite in Russia for a Further Mobilization. It remains that Putin will, in 1 or 2 years, have to leave Ukraine. It's happened before and no Reason it can't happen again. This doesn't have to break out to WWIII. America left Iraq and both America and Russia left Afghanistan. When Nations realize they can't win, they go home, start over and focus on resolving domestic problems.
