Question: Gen 39:7-9, Joseph says, "how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" when this was long before Moses delivered the Commandment, "Thou shalt not commit adultery". Does this mean in the absence of laws, for example Conservapedia having only 7 Commandments, that life is a freewheeling orgy where anyone can do as they please, for example gossip and spam discussion pages? To what extent does conscience play in our lives, and how did Joseph know it was great wickedness and a sin against God long before the Law of Moses finally spelled it out in black and white?
